Rwanda : Mayaga

The water supply network of Mayaga is located in the South of Rwanda and exists for more than 30 years. The water resource is double : springs catchment and intake in a man-made retention dam. The network (more than 65 km) brings water to rural populations thanks to more than 150 public taps.

The project had to, firstly, evaluate the present status of the infrastructures : resources, dam, water treatment facility, networks, storage tank, public taps, etc.

The network has been modelised and the rehabilitation works have been defined, in order to take into account the actual condition of the installations, but also the demand in water.

The technical propositions have been validated during participative workshops.

After the drafting of tender documents and the follow-up of the tendering process, the works supervision has been provided too.
